This is an old Ladakhi native piece of jewelry worn on the neck, its called Skeypuk. Skey - meaning neck. The jewelry that comes on your neck. It is worn in south western part of the Ladakh region called the Sham Valley.
It is said that in olden days the Queen had goiter and she had to attend a function so to cover that up she had this jewellery made since then it became a part of Ladakhi jewellery.
The stones used are turquoise, coral and pearls with very old silver gaus (pendants). All stones are genuine, authentic and high quality.
Age of this piece is around 50 years and above to our knowledge.
