Tea is essentially embedded in every Ladakhi gathering and a tea cup can never be stranded empty or even half full; they always need to be full and there are always the severs attentive of the cup. This is reflective of the gentle hospitality of the people of the region and and Tea pots share an important element in the social structure of Ladakh.
This particular teapot is gold plated probably blending to an art. It is elaborately embroidered with turquoise, coral and lapis lazuli stones.
